Therapeutic After School

Program Mission & Goals

The Therapeutic After School Program was created after identifying an increased need for quality supportive services designed for children who struggle in traditional after-school care and camp settings or those needing supplemental support. There is opportunity for 1:1 intervention when a child is feeling too overwhelmed or is negatively impacting others. We utilize creative treatment modalities such as animal-supported therapies, gardening, yoga, mindfulness, music, and art.

Our Students

Our program caters to children 4-17 years old who have difficulty regulating behaviors, controlling emotions, or engaging socially at school, home, or in the community.

Our Program

We use a wide array of evidence-based practices and proven methods for serving children from diverse backgrounds. Our space was designed to be cozy, inviting, comforting, and home-like. All staff are trained  to help children with self-regulation, coping skills, small groups, emotional competency, and to help foster a love of learning.

A wide variety of other services are also available to families on-site. We have access to a robust compilation of professionals to make assessments and determine what supplementary services might be needed, such as:
  • Counseling Services
  • Behavior Modification and Support (In-Home Services Available)
  • Parenting Supports or Classes
  • In-Home Toilet Training
  • Skill Building for Cognitive Development and Self-Regulation Skills
  • Coping Skills for Children and their caregivers
  • Personal Hygiene and Self Care

  • Academic Coaching
