Meet Our Providers
Sustainable Family Services providers are licensed, highly educated, accredited, and each has at least 10-20 years’ experience in her fields. We encourage, support, and train families, parents, and children during various stages of their family planning or family maintenance. Our professionals are social workers, therapists, adoptive and foster parents, birth parents, adoptees, educators, and experts that are motivated to help individuals and families achieve optimal health and productivity.
We work in a variety of homes and families including single-parent, birth, blended, multi-generational, divorced, adoptive, foster, as well as with parents working to reunify with their children or families navigating the dependency system. We also support those who choose to explore adoption as the best long-term solution for their child(ren). In an effort to create long-term success, our goal is to ensure that all clients have access to the education, support, and resources that will enhance their lives and futures.
Ashley Rhodes-Courter, MSW
Ashley spent almost ten years in foster care before being adopted at the age of 12 from a group home. Many of her foster placements were abusive. Today, Ashley is an MSW, adoptive mother, and author of the New York Times and international bestselling memoir, Three Little Words, and Three More Words. She has worked in the United States and overseas providing a variety of keynotes and workshops for agencies, non-profits, families, courts, policy makers, conferences, schools, and businesses. From a young age, she believed that education and community were key tools to survival. Now a foster and adoptive parent herself, she aims to strengthen and empower other families and youth to succeed. She recognizes that families and individuals must have access to the skills and education they need to sustain themselves emotionally, nutritionally, and to function optimally.
